SIPO & SD in France?
Re: SIPO & SD in France?
Dear all,
regarding an earlier post / question from Puck ("Do you have any information about SS-Uscha. Martin Hecktor?)
I have a Martin Hector as a member of KdS Vichy. No mention of rank. Source: BA Ludwigsburg, referring to a German trial from 1989 (Do. 45 Js 32/89). I don't recall where, but another source has a reference that he potentially used the alias "Noeppel".
Hector does not seem to be a member of "Kommando Tanzmann", that went to Norway at the end of 1944.
Hope this helps
Axel

Re: SIPO & SD in France?
The recent editions of Justiz und NS Verbrechen covering the years 1985-1992 do not appear to have anyone by the name Hektor or Noeppel and the only trial concerning France in this time frame was that of Modest Graf von Korff.
Possibly this guy was a witness as opposed to a defendant.

Re: SIPO & SD in France?
Dear all,
well, maybe Hector was wanted as a witness, but according to the BA Ludwigsburg list from the 1985 trial, a Martin Hector and a few other members of KdS Vichy (incl. a named Eberhard Nicolai and Hermann Buhler) was supposed to be in charge of execution of some 25 hostages in mid July 1944 at the Bourg-Lastic camp (Puy-de-Dôme). Seems there was already an earlier trial back in 1975 (45 Js 29/75) about the same crime. In any case, by the time of the 1985 trial, Hector supposed to have died already, so he wasn't prosecuted any more.
There is some French documentation of the Bourg-Lastic incident, where Hector is mentioned as a key person involved. The article can be found under: https://fusilles-40-44.maitron.fr/spip. ... icle214178
Best regards

Re: SIPO & SD in France?
Interesting posts from Puck.
Hans Feller was "Stud.Rat" according to part of the SSO file that was chopped off. Unlikely therefore to have been a career SS officer and probably absorbed into the Sipo/SD in France from the GFP in 1942, having been called up by them from civilian life (like so many).
I see Wolfgang Feller was not tried until 1955. Was this "in absentia"? Otherwise he had been in French custody for a very long time (pre 1950).
