Hello Harro,

Have you ever read the book "Die Junkerschulen" by Richard Schulze-Kossens (1982)?
It's very informative regarding the type of information you are looking for.
Despite the fact that it was published in 1982, it's still rather easy to obtain a copy.

Best,

James

Hello,

the book of Richard Schulze (-Kossens) is quite interesting concerning the history of the SS-JS Tölz (and other schools) but there are detailed information missing … f. e. the command roster of the Tölz school (and the other schools as well) …

I am wondering to, if it is possible to get further information about the officer course in 1937/38 as well …

In my files, I was only able to collect this roster of this course:

Roland, guess I can forward your scedule to the veteran who provided the names I asked about? It has been some years since I last talked to him and born in 1915 things can change rapidly, but I can always try and see if he can fill in some gaps.

Dear Timo,

If you are able to ask one of the vanishing veterans, it would be really nice, to let us know, what he remembered …

The information’s concerning the early courses are very poor, so every additional information would help further …

Regards yours Roland

Concerning Fick. I have some info about his service in the "Wiking" Division before he transferred to Sennheim. First in the Artillerie Regiment of "Wiking" and then in the Stab. Unfortunately all my papers with details are at home and I'm on holiday not returning before March 4th. As I remember it Fick was considered to be a normal soldier and not a fanatic. Maybe he had "two hats"? A regular soldier when in front and a political person when teaching.

I have a copy of a promemoria dated 08 Jul 1946. In this promemoria Fick is often mentioned as a member of SS-Division "Wiking". Nothing is said about his intrests in politics so it seems that at least when in front service he was a plain soldier.

I don't know if this is a well known date but I will give it anyway. Osbf Fick was the CO of I/SS-Artillerie-Regiment 5. Early in the morning of 6th August 1941 the Stab of "Wiking" was cought with a suprise attack in Smela. One of the killed was a Sturmbannfuhrer who was in charge of personel matters in "Wiking". Osbf Fick was transferred to succeed him.

Well, since he was a weltanschauliche Schulung teacher in 1937/38 and even the Inspektor für die Gesamte weltanschauliche Erziehung in der SS und Polizei in 1944/45 I quite doubt his status as a "plain soldier" even when in theory he was.

Harro,

I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm just saying that his views were not so different in the "Wiking" of 1941 that others would find it worth mentioning.

Hallo Pena, I would be very interesting in learning more about Fick and the promemoria, you mentioned. Also, I would like to know more about his time at the Wiking. Thanks!

Hi James,

Are you sure about Lang his 1914 Wound Badge in Black ? He was born in 1907 so at the end of WWI he was 11 years old...
I guess the 1914 has to be 1939 ?

Greetings
