Is this Rudolf Diels?

Some of these photos of Rudolf Diels appear to be flopped. According to many other photos of Diels, he had a serious dueling scar across his right cheek and another along the left side of his chin. Those scars appear to come and go among these photos; I presume that some of the original negatives were printed in reverse.

Yes, I noticed that too. Fortunately, we’ve got the tech now to remedy that. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the original photos were edited in some way (especially some of the PR stuff).

I am very interested in Rudolf Diels, and I am conducting some private research on him at the moment.

Does anyone have an english copy of the recent biography of him? Alternatively, is anyone willing to share their research with me?

As I said, this is very much a private study and whatever is shared with me would go no further, nor would it service any end but my private curiosity
