John,
trophy documents of SS-divisions are stored in the Central military archive of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation in Podolsk.

Thanks Alex. I hope that other forum members can visit that archive and dig out some good new information.

I am now going to begin a new series that shows a different format for casualty reports. These reports are mainly from the Regiment "Der Führer" with a few from Regiment "Deutschland". They cover the period December 1942 through April 1944. Some have the wrong year typed on them. These first examples from December 1942 show how each battalion and regimental company provided a monthly report. There was not much activity in December aside from accidents and sickness.

The first person listed as killed was the regimental political officer (VI), Ustuf. Eynius. He lost both of his legs in a mine explosion.
