Very interesting! The Flemish SS-Standartenoberjunker Dr. Andreas Heylens is mentioned on this list.
I only know about him because he was the autor of an article in the nationalsocialist newspaper «Balming» of July 1944 where he signed as SS-Standartenoberjunker.
According to the RDA 15.3.1942 he was Legions-Hauptscharführer, but I don’t have any information of him actually being promoted to SS-Untersturmführer.

There is no record of an "Untersturmführer" Wilhelm Maus in the Personalakten from the former Berlin Document Center, the NARA microfilm for the LAH, any promotion orders or Junkerschule classes. However, other casualty reports from the LAH indicate that the division was fighting in the Dergatschi area mid-March 1943. Sometimes the VDK mades errors on actual ranks.

Thanks for telling us this. So most likely he was just a private or an NCO, instead of an officer. And yes, we know that on the VDK-site errors in ranks and such do occur......
