Earlier this week fellow researcher in Spain pointed out to me that I had both a Josef Prumm and a Josef Pumm from Rgt. "Der Führer" listed in "Führerliste". Pumm was the actual name, despite Prumm being found in a period document. Then there are conflicts between period documents with what is found in books such as Weideringer's "Das Reich" series where he says in his Volume IV, that Ostuf. Walter Ehrmann (b. 5.09.19, SS 401350) died on 28.09.43 as Chef 2./Aufkl.Abt. 2, but multiple casualty reports found in his Personalakte confirm that he died on died on 9.10.43 as Chef 3./Aufkl.Abt. 2. There is over a week's difference and the companies are different, plus I believe that Weidinger was commanding the AA "DR" at the time (according to period documents). I will leave it up to you to elaborate on the differences in postings between period documents and field conditions as this is something that researchers need to understand.

I have a Josef Pumm, born 29.7.1921 in Naarn who got the EK I on 10.12.1943, serving at Stab of II./DF

Hello Jan-Hendrik,
I've Pumm as platooncommander with 7. Kp./II. Btl./DF between 6-43 and 1-44. And yes, I'm aware that he got wounded on 16-7-1943 but I assume he went back to his post as platooncommander after his release from the hospital. So when you're correct he didn't stay platooncommander till January 1944 but was assigned to the Staff from II. Btl./DF earlier in 1943. But since he got the EK II(10-43)when he still was with the 7. Kp./II. Btl./DF he couldn't spend a long time with Staff II. Btl./DF.

Greetings, Mike

Are there also lists of the SS-Kriegsberichter-Abteilung/SS-Standarte Kurt Eggers?

Thank you very much for showing this document. I think it’s also used in Eric Kaden’s book; ‘Das Wort als Waffe’.

From some officers I know the nationality;

Björn Björnsson (Iceland)
Railton-Metcalf Freemann (United Kingdom)
Karl Svensson (Sweden)
Gösta Borg (Sweden)
Hans-Caspar Krüger (Sweden)
Yngve Nordborg (Sweden)
Christian Zarp (Denmark)
Karl-Johann Johnsen (Denmark)
Endel Kareda (Estonia)
Paul Kurbjuhn (Estonia)
François Chomé (Belgium)
Jean Lousteau-Chartez (France)
Pierre Virondeau (France)
Bruno-Heinrich Schaeppi (Switzerland)

Has somebody more information about Angelo de Palma, his name sounds very South-Europian.

wow, great! thanks John!
I ignore Loustau-Chartez rank (Ustuf.), I was thinking he was simple Schütze or something like that.
Virondeau was probably promote to Ustuf. before end of the war, cause he is StdObJu since june 1944 (already 6 months). :milwink:

Hello, like the other gentlemen I too "admire" and welcome Your lists. Thanks for sharing. I have a question regarding just this list, i.e. v.Locquenghien listed as IIa. According to the book history (and lists inside) of 9. SS-Pz.Div. v. Locquenghien was III (Div.Judge) 44/45 and Schwarz was IIa 43/45. In SS-DAL of 1.7.44 v. Locquenghien is confirmed as Judge, so I find strange that a judge is transferred to the post of IIa (adj.). Can the gentlemen here give any exact information (44/45) about Schwarz and v. Locquenghien ? I mean, is "Your" list 31.1.45 or the list in the book history correct ? Thanks, Rossano
