Steve,
I think in his case, he didn't have too much to worry about anyway.
Thanks for the post.
Best,
Max.

Steve,
I note you show him "17 Apr 1941, discharged from SS by Himmler on his own request following differences over his problems with local Gauleiter Hofer."
This seems strange as he is still shown in the 9 November 1944 SS DAL under number 98 as SS-Gruppenführer. Could it be that he just requested release from his post as Führer SS-OA Alpenland?

Max,

Could well be - you will notice I put quotation marks around HIS
statement. He goes for another 20 words but basically does not
add anything to the words I quoted. This statement is in English
so the British interrogator was himself paraphrasing what R. said.

However they also quote R. continued SS position by using the
SS DAL of Nov 1944 themselves.

But as you said in an earlier post, he had no 'war crimes' to
worry about.

Rodenbucher and his Gauleiter Franz Kutschera tried to get the Salzburg Gau incorporated into ther Carinthian Gau they were opposed by other local Gauleiter and the powerful Gauleiter Adolf Wagner and both were dismissed Rodenbucher was offerred as SSPF post but he refused and retumed to the Navy. In effect he changed from Hauptamtlicher Führer to Ehrenführer but he never left the SS

In this case really no, he had bigger problems in WW 2 in duel with HH...

Rodenbücher lost his position on 15.5.1941...

...and he must be on 26.5.1941 in Berlin in H.Himmler Office for an "conversation"...

Darko,

many thanks for the info on Rodenbücher.

The letter from Himmler was published in Heiber “Reichsführer! Briefe an und von Himmler”. Do you (or anyone else)by any chance have copies of the 3. letters Rodenbücher wrote to Himmler(also the ones from 25.7/31.05/ and 14.06.). Unfortunately those are not in Heiber.

There is a letter from Berger(who was ordered to have a “conversation” with Rodenbücher ) to Himmler, and Himmler's response.

Hello HM,

thanks for information about Heiber. Unfortunatly we have not such Books in Public Libraries.

Rodenbücher had an Idea to make farewell from SS to find Existence in Civil life allready in the year 1934!

In the year 1941 he had an Idea for acquisition one leather factory in Untersteiermark/Lower Styria/Spodnja Stajerska...

Führer-Hauptquartier

Der Reichsführer-SS

Persönlicher Stab

SS-Gruppenführer Greifelt
Berlin-Halensee

...
...

i.A. Brandt

After 10.10.1941 I have no more copies about Rodenbücher.

Hello,

we had find, that postwar interrogations is not totaly precise, because interrogated persons do not have Documents with him...

We found new Data:

From 1. June 1939: Führer, SS-OA Alpenland

At 15. May 1941 he was discharged from his post: HSSPF Alpenland

Also SS-Oberabschnitt"Alpenland" was on 1.Juni 1939 established:

"Bayreuth, den 10.5.1939

Aufstellung des SS-Oberabschnitts "Alpenland"

Mit Wirkung vom 1.6.1939 wird das Gebiet des SS-Oberabschnits Donau aufgeteilt und ein neuer SS-Oberabschnit gebildet welche erhält die Bezeichnung "Alpenland" und hat seinen Sitz in Salzburg."
