Looking for info: SS-Ustuf. Heinrich Halbeck (RKT)
This man is not listed by Veit Scherzer, "RKT", 1st ed.
Listed is : Heinrich Hahlbeck, 17.04.1945 p.m., Olt., Kp.Chef im Pz.Gren.Lehr-Rgt 901
[KIA 27.11.1944 near Rexingen sö Saarunion (Lothringen)]
Was it a mistake ? Any input on this case is much appreciated.
In addition : is Untersturmführer Halbeck a real person ? If so, anything about his career ?
Bernd

Halbeck is mentioned in E. G. Krätschmer, edition 1982 and edition 1999.
A source or a proof for the bestowal is not at hand !
The date is also 17.04.1945
Fellgiebel mentioned him without a Christian name as correctly (!) awarded on 17.04.1945, i.e. no exceptional case in terms of special authorization (Dönitz-Erlass, 6. Armee etc.).
