It this a censored cover ?
Totenkopf on visor caps, and SS runes have flown...
Are forbidden badges in Germany ? Which could be the reason ?

Outstanding selection of few know pics of Himmler in various occasions and also numerous photos of less know SS leader in the circle of Himmler.
pics upon and around Sonderzug "Heinrich" are totally unknown of me and those of Weitzel in 1940 are impressive !
last book of Max is a master pictorial book .
I wait feb. to add his new serie upon SS leaders on shelves.

Under the Christmas tree a nice gift from my wife:

Niels Weise: Eicke: Eine SS-Karriere zwischen Nervenklinik, KZ-System und Waffen-SS.

Highly recommended. Very detailed info, especially on his early years. The part of him being Commander of the SS-TD is rather short. It contains lots of new info, a great addition to his Bio in “Die Generale der Waffen-SS und der Polizei, Part 1”, hope to see that renewed soon.

Hello,

Volume 2 of Wiking by Charles Trang forum member is available and I sincerely recommend it to anyone who is interested in the history of that unit
Many unpublished photos and a rich text (in French) that make it a fascinating book. The result of a lot of research.

Hello,

I recommend the book by Marten van Dijken "Die SS-Totenkopfverbände" Eine Dokumentation Band 1 1933-1937 Published by author.
Book that describes the creation and organization of these units, serious work based on archives.
One sees many names of individuals who will become prominent members of future Waffen SS units or remain in the camp administration.
Over 100 pictures 297 pages. German text.
