SS-Ostubaf. Heinrich Munker?
Hey all, I would like to have further information about SS-Obersturmbannführer Heinrich Munker. He was in command of the SS-Nachrichten-Ersatz Abteilung Nürnberg in 1943.
Is there any other information and/or a photo of him by chance?
Thanks in advance.

No, it gets confusing following various reorganizations. The SS-Nachrichten Abteilung 1 and later SS-Panzer Nachrichten Abteilung 1 was the signal unit of the 1.SS-Panzer Div. "LSSAH". However, the SS-Nachrichten Ausbildungs Abteilung 1 in Nürnberg, organized in late 1943/early 1944, was part of the SS-Nachrichten AuE. Rgt. headquartered in Nürnberg. There were 5 such SS-Nachr.Ausbilung Abteilungs at various locations

Hello Panzerass,
Well, thank you for your reply. I was not sure this question was good or stupid but because I didn't know if there was any difference between these two units I posted this question anyway.
I'm almost certain the SS-Nachrichten-Ersatz-Abteilung was based in Nürnberg and this unit was probably used to train people for different divisions or other units.
And the SS-Nachrichten-Ersatz-Abteilung 1 was probably a training/replacement-unit that only belonged to the 'LSSAH'.
Just a thought of course, don't know if it's correct or not.
Greetings,
Mike
