Curiously, nothing about his previous career in allgemeine -SS in his Nara File.

Last post of my part about SCHMIDL, just to advice you to purchase the so useful "Führerliste" of John P. Moore in which you can find a lot of precious informations, about SS- Officers : I search the "Führerliste" and I found that Schmidl
died in 1945 after had a reduction of rank and he 's last unit was Fallschirmjäger-Btl.500.

My friend Jérôme has not posted any new documents here for a few days. Here is a document that concerns the SS numbers assigned to members of the LSSAH from February 1941. There are quite a few pages in this document. Is this something that people are interested in seeing more of?
