The man looks like Hermann Dolp but the rank is wrong (man above has lower rank than Dolp)

Re: SS ID Quiz
Hi
Dolp was promoted SS-Standartenführer on 11 march 1931, promotion personally recommended by Hitler. From 22 july 1932, he was placed in charge of the Upper Bavaria Standarte (34.SS-Standarte). From 1 august 1939 to 7 february 1940, he was 1. Schutzhaftlagerführer in KL Sachsenhausen. Because of his heavy drinking, Eicke had him charged and brought before an SS-Court in January 1940. The Court removed him from Sachsenhausen and demoted him to SS-Sturmbannführer and banned him from alcohol for twenty-four months (!) Middle february 1940, Dolp was sent to Odilo Globocnik in Lublin who placed him in charge of organising the construction of the Lipowa Street labour camp and the Belzec labour camp. He remained in this position until may 1942.
When Himmler visited Globonik, Dolp was under the orders of Globocnik with the rank of SS-Sturmbannführer.
So, for me, the man is Hermann Dolp.
The picture of Hermann Dolp with SS-Standartenführer rank has probably taken in 1931-1932

Re: SS ID Quiz
Wow. That was interesting KLSS. Thanks also to Stuart for a much clearer photo for compare than the one so prevalent on the net. Good choice for the quiz. It must have sucked for Dolp to stay “dry” around such heavy hitters of the bottle like Globus and his crew. Hoess called these guys a collection of misfits and losers in his memoirs. I’m going to pass on the next one so please - anyone can take a turn.

Re: SS ID Quiz
I will venture that this man between Himmler and Globocnik is NOT Dolp. The photo of the SS-Standartenführer was taken in or after 1936 when that pattern cap eagle was introduced. Apart from that, it is an established fact that Globocnik's construction expert was Richard Thomalla, not Dolp. The Globus/Himmler photo dates from 1939 when the Sam Browne belts were still being worn. Their use was discontinued at the end of 1939. This photo is dated Nov/Dec 1939 (before Dolp was assigned to Globocnik according to KLSS). The two men are even dissimilar in appearance in my opinion. Sorry, but no way is this Dolp.

Re: SS ID Quiz
Objection noted but they look very similar to me. Left ear, nose, slight crease from left ear to eye and even a slight mustache can be seen when you blow up the photo - lightened because of angle of light when the photo was taken. You moderate this quiz - do you want to label this inconclusive and continue the quiz with his second photo?
Re: SS ID Quiz
Do you have any idea who it could be?
Re: SS ID Quiz
Two more photos from the same archive (NAC) showing the same man accompanying Globocnik in 1940 and wearing the Blutorden ribbon on his right pocket (Dolp was a Blutorden holder).
