Of course but those are hints / clues relative to our subject. Think along those lines and you will know who this well known figure is.

Thanks Duncan.
Yes Eggers is pretty famous but photos of him are pretty rare. I have seen this before and one in the SS-Pz.Rgt.5 im Bild (profile) when he is wearing the Pz.uniform.
But to a pretty easy one, he is rather famous as well. But his companion was even more (in)famous. He was a die hard Nazi until his death in 2005

Making use of your clue Georg, I’m going to say it’s Wilhelm Schubert. His boss Anton Kaindl the more infamous associate.

Correct Duncan your turn.

The one I thought of was "Eiserne Gustav" =) Even if Kaindl also was tried in the same trial. But both Schubert and Gustav Sorge managed to survive Workuta, after the got repatriated to Germany they once again was condemned to life in prison, but both died in freedom. Schubert is said to have an photo of him in uniform and also some Uniformeffects in his room at the elderly home he lived in until his death. Neonazis frequenly visitid him until he died.

Best regards
Georg

Wow. That’s an ugly record for sure for Schubert.
Karl d’Angelo it is. I read about him in book
“Dachau and the SS: Schooling for Violence”. Back to you Georg.
