A couple of questions and remarks concerning Kurt Weisse's career:

1. SS-Totenkopf-Standarte 11 didn't exist before 11 November 1939 so I presume that before that date he was in the Aufstellungsstab. Was he the CO of III/11 from that date until Karl Grimme took over in late July/early August 1940?

2. According to my files Hans-Joachim Woith was the CO of 9./"Deutschland" from 01 December 1940 to 10 August 1941. Was Weisse only a temporary CO because he was not called Chef although he was a Hauptsturmfuhrer? (Just a thought: Could he have been the CO of 9./11?)

3. Weisse was WIA 08 July 1941 as CO of the 3./"Deutschland". Then Helmut Birke was KIA on 18 August commanding the same Kompanie and Hans Opificius was the CO of 3. Kompanie from 03 September to 13 December 1941. Rudolf Kaiser was KIA as the CO in 19 December 1941 and Christian Bruhne was the commander from 30 January 1942 to 01 March 1942. Based on this I think that Weisse was a commander in name only after he was wounded.

4. The 9. / 3rd SS-Panzergrenadier-Rgt. probably means 9./SS-Panzergrenadier-Rgt 6 which was the 3rd Panzergenadier-Rgt of Totenkopf Division and he hardly was the commander after his trial in January 1943.
