There was mistake in my files:
On 09.11.1948 was executed other war criminal Wilhelm Rommelmann
from Tarnow gestapo (responsible for murders in Tarnow ghetto)

Leideritz was executed on 22.02.1949

Sorry for the confusion

Hello George_W,

Thanks for all your info on Leideritz, much appreciated.
Now I can fill in the gaps in my own file and add the info I didn't had so far.

And about your error about his DoD, well, that can happen to all of us.
I also do write down a lot from things on the internet, or from other sources, and if I don't write it down correctly then I also made an error of course.....

And now I also see how Alex did wrote down the dates.
He used the American way of writing it down instead of the European way.
So 8-7-46 has to be 7-8-46, 12-18-46 has to be 18-12-46 and 11-17-47 has to be 17-11-47.

From a note in a British war crimes investigation file:
Peter Leideritz was Aussenstellenleiter Kolomea during (or partly during) Dec 1941 and July 1944. Leideritz played a most significant part in the anti Jewish measures (ghettoization, shootings, deportations).
After the war, British war crimes investigators with the local US CIC Det, questioned Leideritz’s wife in Kirchbeerfurth/Odenwald. He was found in the vicinity and arrested on 13 Aug 1946. He was detained at the US CIE 91 in Darmstadt.
31 Oct 1946, the Poles to make an extradition request of the US authorities.
On 6 March 1947 he was still at CIE 91, Darmstadt, awaiting extradition to Poland.

No photos.

I made a mistake in my post from 2007. The correct birthplace for Leideritz is Kirch-Beerfurth/Odenwald.

He was arrested in August 1946 in Bensheim by the Kriminalpolizei from Darmstadt, later he was interned by the US authorities and extradited to Poland on 18.12.1946.

According to my informations he remained in Kolomea until Decemeber 1943.

Leideritz was listed two times in BBL:

1941, Hilfs-KK Leideritz was transferred from Stapo Darmstadt to KdS Lublin [BBL 20/1941]

1942, KK z.Pr. Leideritz was promoted to KK with KdS Lublin [BBL 8/1942]

It seems that he was posted to KdS Lemberg (GPK Kolomea was subordinate to KdS Lemberg) from Lublin but his official Dienststelle remained KdS Lublin (at least in late 1941 and early 1942 when he was already active at KdS Lemberg). In 1943 he was officially listed with KdS Lemberg.

Any postwar documents concerning Leideritz does not mention his stay at Lublin.

Between October and December 1944 "SS-Ostuf. KK" Leideritz was the Leiter of Grenzpolizeikommissariat (GPK) Neu Sandez (Nowy Sącz) in the area of KdS Krakau.
