SS-officers 40-45, later in Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz

Hello,

Here I've a whole bunch of SS-officers who joined the Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz (BfV) or the Landesamt für Verfassungsschutz (LfV) after the second world war.
But some info is missing with each of these men so hopefully somebody can fill in the blank spots, like DoB's, places of birth, party- and/or SS-numbers, promotiondates, ranks, etc. I did my best to track down as much as I could from each of them but below is all what I could find about them. So hopefully someone has a bit more on each of them...

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Hello Phil,

Thank you very much. You know I'm already satisfied with even the slightest piece of information, so this was very welcome.

Still I hope that someone else has something more on these men so I just wait and see what happens....

Greetings,
Mike

I believe that the following is from Antonio Munoz, "The German police", but Gustav Halswick is listed as being assigned to the Kripo-Stelle "Koblenz", probably 1944/45. Hope this helps.

I do not think Erich Wenger did have a false identity after the war.
He was the subject of a British war crimes investigation over the shooting of British SAS soldiers in the Vosges, 1944-45. It never came to trial probably because one or other British intelligence agencies thought they could use him.
And it was the British who put his name forward to join the infant BfV - along with Johannes Strübing who did create a false name during his employment with the BfV but for "business reason" not to disguise himself from the authorities.

Interesting remark. You think the whistleblower from inside did tell lies ?
His "working alias" were Wagner and Wolter.
