Well as they say in these parts Kamaraden 'It could happen to a Bishop' ! An honest mistake but one we all have to be vigilant about it seems. Unfortunately for those of us interested in this time period the internet is a mine field we have to navigate with caution, especially with the sites that are dressed up to looked like innocent 'History' ones. I was researching a topic recently, googled it and went straight into a Russian language forum. It was only after immersing myself for some time in relevant information that I scrolled down and found evidence to indicate that the forum members ideology was a tad on the 'dark side'.

Thanx Seaburn.

The funny thing is never even looked at the site or what was on it. I just googled the date and event and there it was the colour picture in full. We are always told to post our sources so i did.

Anyway thanx again.

Does anyone know who is the Polizei officer making speech in the color pic of Vereidigung ceremony? Maybe he is the leader of Austrian police?

This photo of bundersarchiv show him looking to the men saluting, another shot from same act during Police Day in Berlin 1937, with better view, was also in postcards.

Can I ask who is the SS-Obergruppenführer to Daluege's left in the photo taken on parade in Prague's Old town Square (page 4 of this thread)?

Thanks.

Sorry Max I meant page 2! Reviewing troops with FH Frank on his right and an SS-Obergruppenführer on his left.

Thanks.

I also always wonder what happened to uniforms, were some wearing them when arrested? I'm guessing Daluege wasn't as he had been a civilian essentially since 1943.
