Kurt Daluege photos

Would anyone offer and opinion of the type of pin Daluege is wearing below the right breast pocket of his tunic. The time is mid-Summer 1939 during a review of an honor guard. Sorry for the poor quality, as it is from a period magazine. Military and party awards (save for the Blood Order and DK) belong on the left side. Would it be a tinnie of some sort?

Hello Joe,

This pic was taken during the german police sport competition in june 1939 at Frankfurt a Main. He only wore it on two pic through an article with 5 pics of him. I agree with you upon suggestion of a tinnie.
On the following pic an SS general seems to hold the same one .

no idea. Thesis at the Princeton University dated from 1979.
can I suggest you to use International loan library to borrow his thesis. Quite interesting. His article cited above summarize well his work.
