Italy.1944. Anton Novak, member of the Polizei with the uniform locally manufactured in Telo Mimetico
Hi, is this really Anton Novak? Because the only information I got is that he already killed in Sobibor 1943, while this pic was allegedly taken in 1944.\

Wondering if anyone can ID either of these SS-Hauptsturmführer? The one on the left looks familiar to me but unable to place.
Thanks for checking.

mil-archive I guess it´s rather you who should be able to tell us who those men are when you´re holding a copyright for this image. Who took that image and where, please? TIA.

I am not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere, I cant find it.
Please can anybody name this SS-Ostuf. - possibly "Prinz Eugen" - who appears to have a Blood Order ribbon on his pocket flap?

Hello Peter

I have asked about him as well, I think the photo is from the Hochgebirge Schule. So far No One has identified him

Best regards

Yes, the photo is from the Hochgebirgsschule (Neustift im Stubaital), pre-April 1943. The officer is a member of either the "Nord" or the "Prinz Eugen" (there were no more SS mountain units at the time, except for the Karstwehr, which had their own special training grounds). I kind of have a feeling that he's from the "Nord", but I could be wrong. He doesn't look familiar to me.
