I believe it is Russia in the summer of 1943. I have seen the face but cannot recognize him.
Thank you for help.
This is Alois Reicher from SS-Panzerregiment 5 Division "Wiking".

Sebastian

@von thoma

That looks like Fitzhum to me, but I'm not 100% sure.

I am not sure that is Martin Stange at all, are you sure that those guys are among SS-Pz.Div. "Totenkopf" why I ask is that it´s only the SS-Ustuf. who has an award, maybe a KvK II. Kl. all the others have blank breasts.
To me its indicates that maybe these guys are attached to a SS-T.-Sturmbann of different KL/KZ or that they are part of an Camps Kommendantur.

But it can alse be early in the war as the guy to the far right has the style off collartabs which was in use at the invasion on France 1940.

Best regards
Georg

Georg,

Perhaps training as the others in this series all seem centered around training and maneuvers.

Hello Eindhoven,
As you do not mention the source of the pictures you are showing, I take it that you are the current owner? Am I correct?
Best wishes,
Bogo

Hello Bogo,

No I am not. They were placed in the public domain and I am not using them for profit. I believe that is called 'fair use'. When where they taken and who took them by name and date? Am I correct?

-German (and some other countries, including for example Sweden) copyright law states that the copyright expires 50 years after the photograph was taken. See § 72 UrhG.
-Copyright resides with the photographer, unless it's sold on by will/testament, or it's work for hire.
-Copyright to a photograph can not be acquired by owning a print of the photograph or owning the negative.

Do you believe you OWN the copyright on these images?

Best wishes,
Eindhoven

I believe Bogo is diplomatically pointing out that it is a rule of the forum to provide the source of images if not owned by the poster. As you say you are not the owner, forum rules state you must quote the source and if it is the internet, then a link must be provided. If you do not, you are in breach of the forum rules. He's trying to help you.

Max.

Yes, Max. That's my point.
However, what's the use of forum rules, if they are not maintained?
Best wishes,
Bogo

Gentlemen, I also saw these photos from the whole series on an electronic auction (www.ebay.de), one week ago.
If on the forum has their new owner and he is against publication, I will delete them - no problem.
But Max is right - the source of images (link) should be specified according to the rules of our forum.
Best regards,

Andrey.

Max, Bogo,

My apologies if I read the intent the wrong way.

I often amend my posts sadly out of necessity(stroke Oct 2016). If I leave out a source I usually go back to correct that as evidenced just recently in my posts looking for information on Franz Krause. I amended my post this morning when I noted the attribution was missing.

Below is the relevant information to the SS-TK images posted here seeking details on these offiziere or stabskompanie. The intent is to learn.

1st Image Source:ebay.de Verkäufer Victory454 eBay-Artikelnummer:252781249489

2nd Image Source:ebay.de Verkäufer Victory4544 eBay-Artikelnummer:252778311591

My thanks for your diplomacy.

Regards,
Eindhoven
