Hm, I am looking the whole afternoon for an article that Roland sent me once, regarding the Heimatdienststellen of the SS-Kavallerie....I cannot find it at the moment

SS-Reit- und Fahrschule Lingen/ Kreis Bentheim:

IVc Ostuf. Dr.Heinrich Lutterbey

IVc of SS-KavRgt.1/SS-KavBrg.: Ostuf. Otto Hubaceck

Veterinär of 1.SS-Totenkopf-Reiterstandarte: Hstuf. Dr. Hans Herling

Two other from that timeframe: an Ustuf. Butt and an Ustif. Dr. Sepp Schmidt (data from Mehner)

At the SS-Kav.Div. IVc SS-Hstuf. Martin Wegerle (Mehner)

More to come later or tomorrow :D

Hello Phil and Jan-Hendrik,

Great info, thanks for posting.

Phil, a question about Blazevik. I saw that he was born in Prague, but he wasn't a Sudetengerman???

Greetings,
Mike

Hi Mike

For Blazevik, I know he don't have SS number. For example, another Stubaf like Adolf Cischek (commander of schw SS Art Abt 105/505) who was born into the Sudete had a SS number. Cischek was into the Dienstalterliste der Waffen SS but not Blazevik. It's why I class Josef Blazevik not in the volksdeutsche but with the foreign volunteers but I can be wrong.

Blazevik seems to be an interesting case, he appears at 21.Div. in 1944.

From the KTB's of SS-KavBrg./KavDiv. I have the following vetenarian offircers:

For Reitende Abt./SS-Kav.Rgt.1:

- Ustuf. Dr. Hans Schiefer as RgtsVeterinär
- SS.Hscha. Dr. Adolf Ahrendt as Hilfsveterinär

For SS-KavRgt.2:

- Ustuf. Dr. Sepp Schmidt as RgtsVet.
- Ustuf Dr.Georg Leitner as Vet.Offz.
- Ustuf. Dr.Erich Butt as Abt.Vet. at Reitende Abt./SS-KavRgt.2

Now from the Stellenbesetzung SS-Kav.Brg. dated 20.3.42:

- IVc Hstuf Gerhard Held
- VetOffz. Ustuf. Johann Kramer
- RgtsVet. KR 1 Ostuf. Otto Hubaceck
- VetOffz KR 1...no one listed
- Führer Vet.Kp. Ostuf. Fritz Eichin
- Lazarettstaffel Oscha(FA) Friedrich Schubert
- ABt.Vet. of Art.Abt. Ostuf. Hans Schiefer

More to come

Another interesting point is what I have found in a list dated 1.3.1943 regarding the Verliehene Auszeichnungen :D

SS-Hstuf. Knud von Stenbjörn, Vet.Kp., got the EK2 :D :D

Martin Wegerle was promoted to Hstuf. on 9.11.42 and was IVc of the Division from 10.7.42.

Maybe someone can change the title into Vetenarians of the SS or anything similar  :D

Some officers from the vetenarian branch of the FG Division that were reported killed in the Kessel of Budapest were:

- Ostuf. Dr. Alexander Szalay (+11.2.45), IVc of SS-Kav.Rgt.15
- Ostuf. Jörgen Mortensen (+11.2.45), Vet.Kp.
- Hstuf. Dr. Georg Leitner (+11.2.45), IVc of SS-Kav.Rgt. 16

Two others from the officers roster of the FG Division:

- Ostuf. Dr.Hans Kramar (* 17.09.12, SS-Nr. 401292), IVc of SS-Kav.Brg. in June 1942
- Ostuf. Dr. Hans Kraus (*03.12.18, SS-Nr. 468184), Vet.Kp. 1944

Two of the 'Prinz Eugen', taken from John's Registers of Waffen-SS Officers from KTBs-Thread:

- Dr. Faber, Michael St.O.J 04.05.1915 11.5.44 1./SS-Vet.Kp
- Izilagyi, Hans Ostuf. 09.12.1906 23.7.44 1./SS-Vet.Kp. 7 21.9.44 2.Vet.Kp

His name is not totally correct, it has to be Hans Szilagyi. I'm sometimes having big troubles reading the handwriting on the documents John has posted at that thread but hear I can clearly see his family begins with an S.

I also have a question. What means 1./Vet. Kp. 7???
In my file about the Prinz Eugen-Division I also have this and I totally don't understand what it means.....
SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs-Veterinär-Kompanie 1/7 and 2/7:

So when I read it correctly Szilagyi first served with 1./SS-Vet. Kp. 7(7-44)and then with 2./SS-Vet. Kp. 7(9-44).
And Dr. Faber served as an SS-Standartenoberjunker with 1./Vet. Kp. 7 in June 44.
