Hello!
Are all these interesting informations being summoned on one page?
If not, the topic should be made "sticky".

Rgds,

There's an SS-Ostuf Dr. Ludwig Weisemann mentioned in this thread by Jan-Hendrik and I believe he's identical to the Dr. Weismann mentioned by Hohenwarter.....So it appears that Dr. Ludwig Weisemann was IVc from one of the Btls. within
SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs-Jäger-Regiment 13 but which Btl.????
- Hohenwarter mentioned, that the former regimental veterinarian got ill, and he replaced him, within the regiment were: “ … Die Btl.-Veterinäre waren Dr. Weismann, Dr. Faber und Dr. Hüttl. …“

In the section 'Foreign Volunteers & Collaboration' I just did find another Vet.-Off.
Waffen-Untersturmführer Elemir Feher.
Served with SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs-Veterinär-Kompanie 13

Hello Fred,

Thanks for the extra info on Feher, that's really welcome.
And someone did put this thread in the 'sticky-section' from the SS & Polizei-section, so hopefully we can keep this thread alive.......

Thanks,
Mike

Strange, I checked several sites that are dealing with 13. Waffen-Gebirgs-Division but they all mention SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs-Veterinär-Kompanie 13 and none of them is mentioning SS-Veterinär-Abteilung 13....

Who can help me with some explanation here???

Thanks,
Mike

I don't believe in the existance of more than a Vet.Kp. on Divisional level

Another find is

Hstuf. Emil Schulz, IVc of 6.SS-Frw.Geb.Div. in late 1944.

A new one should be

Hstuf. Rudolf Künzl, born 15.05.1905 in Eger.

He was Adj. of Stubaf. Held at the SS-Vet.Ers.Abt. and IVc of the Abt.

Source is an article on this Abt. by our dear Roland Pfeiffer :D

My friend owns this SS-Obersturmbannführer of Veterinär tunic with a Deutschland Regimental cuffband. The shoulder boards are Army style so consider this as a pre-war/early-war piece. Anybody have any information about a veterinarian of this rank in the Deutschland Regiment say from 1938-1942? I'm sure my friend would be very interested in knowing who this might have belonged to.

Hello Jan-Hendrik,

Thanks for the info about Künzl, didn't had him yet.
Do you know his SS-number and maybe partynumber as well???

And do you know which Eger is mentioned here, the place in Hungary or Cheb(in German language Eger)in Czech Republik??? I think it's Cheb in Czech Republik since Eger in Hungary is Erlau in German language.....

A bit tricky one....

Ostuf. Wilhelm Horn was IVa of the Vt.Kp.7 of the Prinz Eugen Dvision.
Born 5th January 1906 in Hüddingen.

And, while sorting my notes I found another Vet.Kp. IVa I had noted, once, Ostuf. Hans Koester who was with the Vet.Kp.6 of the Nord-Division.

He was KIA near Paderborn in April, most propably with SS-Pz.Brg. Westfalen.

I know, both belong rather to the Verwaltungslaufbahn, but as both served in Vetenarian companies I think we can add them here, too
