Another of Wolkerstorfer. This and the 1st photo originals on this thread are owned by Robert Kondor along with others and some of his award documents. He loaned them to me for use in one of my past German Cross volumes, WAF poster neglected to credit the owner or source.

Sorry for being ignorant, but what happened to Herr Wolkerstorfer? Did he survive the war?

born 2.11.1919 in Linz/Upper Austria/Austria
died 11.01.1971 in Linz/Upper Austria/Austria

means he survived the war but passed away young.....

yes so young...
it was of long term consequences of his wounds
(he had the Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold)

data confirmed by widow,by DD Berlin and office of cemetery
