Here (a little above)
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 4#p1369944
John P. Moore published the command rooster of the 9th SS-Division for March 1st 1945,
Von Allwörden is still officially listed as commander of the SS-Pz.Jg.Abt. 9 …

The information, mentioning him as commander of the Pz.Jg.Abt. of the so called Division Wallenstein, might be wrong? :?

Hello

Führbringer mentioned in his book on the “Hohenstaufen” division, that the Stubaf Klaus von Allwörden left die SS-Pz.Jg.Abt. 9 on January 15th 1945 to report at the Kommandoamt der Waffen-SS in Berlin … :?
Why is he still mentioned as commander of the SS-Pz.Jg.Abt 9 in the March 1st 1945 list :?

So there is a great gap in his biography from January until May 1945 … 8O

Is it possible, to get further information about him? Any hint would be welcome!

Hello everybody,

I was able to have a look in the personal files of Stubaf. Klaus von Allwörden, John P. Moore was so kind to share them with me … :D

But unfortunately there are no entries about the time from End of 1944 until May 1945 … 8O

It would still be very nice, to get further information about this SS-officer, especially in May 1945!!

Is it possible that von Allwörden was send to the SS-Panzerjäger- (Sturmgeschütz-) School at Janowitz at SS-training ground “Böhmen” near Praque, or working within the SS-FHA, Berlin…? :?

Every hint would be welcome!! :)

Regards yours Roland

I was looking for information about Klaus von Allwörden when I found this thread. Here is a short summary and the reasons why I believe this to be "the current truth" until more info wil be available - hopefully soon.

von ALLWÖRDEN, Klaus
Born: 26 Oct 1914
Died: ?? ??? ????
SS-nr.: 199 295

Promotions:
20 Apr 1935...SS-Untersturmführer
20 Apr 1939...SS-Obersturmführer
09 Nov 1941...SS-Hauptsturmführer
09 Nov 1944...SS-Sturmbannführer

Commands:
Sep 1941 - ?? ??? 1941......14./SS-Infanterie-Regiment 6/"Nord" 1)
Nov 1941 - ?? ??? ????.......IIa/SS-Infanterie-Regiment 6/"Nord"
(Jul 1943) - 15 Jan 1945...SS-Panzerjäger-Abteilung 9/"Hohenstaufen" 2)
??? 1945 - ?? ??? 1945.......StuG-Abteilung "Wallenstein" 3)
1) He was only a short time commander because in the beginnig of September 1941 the commander was Erich Vogel and Vogel was back in command in December 1941 at the latest.
2) Mike's contradicting dates: 1943 - 12 Feb 1944 SS-Feld-Ersatz-Bataillon 9 and 12 Feb 1944 - 1944 Major beim Stabe. I think something is wrong here because a) Allwörden is mentioned in the KTB of July 1943 as commander of SS-Panzerjäger-Abteilung 9, b) the previous commander of SS-Panzerjäger-Abteilung 9 Franz Roestel left 05 June 1943 for SS-StuG-Schule "Bukowan" and c) if von Allwörden did not succeed Roestel then who did?
Freddiefro's contradicting dates: September 1943 I/SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 20. My files show Herbert Garthe as the commander.
3) RolandP mentions the command rooster of March 1st 1945 but that list contains many errors and anyway it's based on the situation in February so at least in theory that leaves Allwörden in "Wallenstein" all the spring months from March to May.
So this is my summary but unfortunately I have been known to be wrong before. :)
