#1

Post by Researcher » 10 Feb 2003, 22:11

Need help with the fate of some SS extradited to Poland.

Should be of interest to other members interested in Camp men etc.

First on my list is Gottfried MANTEI. born 10.2.1915 in Berezina, Rumania.
SS Mann in Mauthausen (1943) then Plaszow before returning to Mauthausen.

He was extradited from US or British custody to Poland on 25 Feb 1947.

Released from Poland

Hi Dylan

There were 13 Germans released from Polish captivity around 7-10-1955,
maybe the spelling of Terbck is incorrect. He was 36 years old in Oct 1955.

Otto Schneider was also released that day. Do you have his date of birth?
(He was 48 years old on release)

Also looking for date of birth and Lublin trial date of Friedrich Buschbaum, guard at Majdanek, Budzyn and Dachau

Of the 67 high ranking SA Officers in my files only about 20 were actually put on trial. Several others were imprisoned for a period after the wars end.

Here's the list of the 20 although I don't think many were sentenced as a result of KL implication.

Von Burgsdorff
Bauer
Denzler
Florian
Griebel
Haas
Hans
Jaeger
Kasche
Kluttgen
Leist
Lohse
Ludin
Pilz
Schmidt
Von Schirach
Schwede-Coburg
Wagner
Weiss
Weninger

Hi Dylan

Was Worster in Polish captivity at least?

Do you have information on the following:

Emil Euler
Hans Wagner
Alfred Metzner
Jakub Niessner
Kurt Moeller
Friedrich Gebhardt

As far as I know they were all sentenced to death (but so was Worster!)
