Do you have information concerning this officer (Photos, Assignments, Awards, ...) ?
What’s the meaning of “Pz-Späh” ?

Karl Böttcher (Malente, 09.06.1913 / SS-Nr. 257 591)

Allready Chef of 3.(Pz.Sp.)Kompanie in 1941 he was Chef of 4.(PSW)Kompanie at Charkow, at Kursk and in Italy he commanded 2.(Krad)Kompanie. Sorry, I must keep more detailed info for myself.

Are you writing on the AA LAH? What's the source you got your info from?

A Panzerspähwagen is an armoured recce car, thus a Panzerspähkompanie is a Kompanie equipped with armoured cars (Sd.Kfz.222, 231, 234, etc.)

BTW, I have not come across a photo of Böttcher yet. I have his address but given his age (if still alive anyway) I don't want to bother him with the past.

I’m not writing on the AA LSSAH, but I’m very interesting by the history of the WWII and more particularly by the combats and the organisation of the LSSAH.
I research the order of battle of the division, with these commanders of companies, battalions, regiments .... during all the war.
The history of these soldiers (and others) is very interesting.

And do you know the rank of Karl Böttcher on Feb.1943 ? (SS-Hstuf. ? / SS-Ostuf. ?)

Ostuf. It seems he became an Hstuf. on 09.11.1943
