Since some time volumes I and II of the documentation "Die SS-Totenkopfverbände 1933-1939" have been out of print.
Today I am pleased to announce that a 2nd edition of these volumes was released in December 2017.
Volumes I - III together are documenting the organization, history, actions, uniforms and insignia of these TV-units in every detail.
Furthermore these volumes together contain more than 600 unknown photos, taken during the early years of this part of the armoured SS.
The new editions are available with immediate effect. Please contact tveccles@cs.com
Best regards,
Marten van Dijken

After the war British War Crimes Group/North West Europe carried out an investigation into the shooting of 97 British POWs at Le Paradis by SSTK in May 1940. Their report lists an OoB of SSTK at the time:

Hello to all :D; a query............................................

SS-Totenkopfverbände in Poland 1939.

On September 12, 1939, the SS-Totenkopfstandarte 2 "Brandenburg" (reinforced) was sent to Poland, and under the orders of the SS-Gruf. Eicke collaborated with Einsatzgruppe III in the area of responsibility of the German 8th Army. The unit returned to Germany on September 26, 1939.

Another element of the SS-TV that acted in Poland under the command of the Heer (VIII. AK), was the Pioniereinheit z.b.V. (SS-Totenkopf Ergänzungs Sturmbann III); This was a horsedrawn reserve unit that had been organized in Breslau in 1938 and was demobilized after the campaign of France and its forces distributed in the Totenkopf units.

Anyone has on hand more detail, specially about the pioniers of the SS-TV? TIA. Cheers. Raúl M 8-).
