Leibstandarte Normandy (SS-Ostubaf. Georg-Günther Stoltz)

I read somewhere that the HQ (Stab) of the Leibstandarte had received a direct hit from Allied forces sometime after D-Day in the Caen area. Can anybody give me more information especially about casualties (killed and wounded)? I am trying to reconstitute the service record of Obersturmbannführer Gunter Stolz who was Ib (Quartermaster) of the Leibstandarte at the time.

First of all, his correct name with right spelling is:
SS-Ostubaf. Georg-Günther Stoltz

Dieter Z.

Are You sure it was LAH?
12. SS-Pz.Div. "Hitlerjugend's" HQ was hit and the Division Commander Witt(?) was killed among others.
Besides, the LAH HQ wasn't near Caen at the time...

Are you sure that Stoltz was still Ib at Normandy? I just talked to a still living LSSAH Stabsoffizier who was present at that time and he didn't recall Stoltz as Ib but Ost. Otto Stegemann. He also remembered how acting Ia Grensing got wounded 'cause of allied artillery fire although he warned him just seconds before not to stay at the 'Befehlsbus' in a small lane but to also hide in a Norm. Farm. with thick walls.
