Helge - Good for you for managing to connect this young soldier born in 1923 to the concentration camps! A closer examination of your sources would reveal that Hafner spent his time as a frontline soldier in the "Nord" division prior to graduation from Bad Tölz and was only passing through Dachau near the end of the war.

He has worked in Dachau and Buchenwald. No matter when and where their age. This is enough.
Paul Maria Hafner in Dachau and Buchenwald to plant flowers or cut grass?
