Prof. Dr. med. Wilhelm Fischer, Chirurg / Surgeon, Kiel

#1

Post by giselher » 07 Aug 2010, 23:28

Wilhelm Fischer (1892-1969) was inmate in the British Internment Camp CIC No. 5 in Paderborn Staumühle after the war. I have reason to believe that he was at least member of Allgemeine SS, probably one of the leading figures of the SS at Kiel University. Who knows more about him?

Thank you and best regards
Tilman

PS: full name is: Albert Wilhelm Fischer

Hi Dieter,

thank you for the info. That was REALLY helpful!

Very much confirms what I thought. I came across his name several times: an old lady told me about him, then he is mentioned in the book about Staumühle written by Möllenhoff called "Arzt hinter Stacheldraht", and then, just a couple of days ago, I read his name again in connection with Sachsenhausen....

Hello. It just so happens that I have Dr. Fischer's SS-Ahnentafel. It traces his ancestry back to 1715. I would be curious about any links to Sachenhausen. Please share if you have anything as I cannot find such references. Regards, Tom :D

Hi Tom,
thank you for your email. This is interesting but complicated. There is a connection between Fischer and medical Experiments in Sachsenhausen. I could get you some extra info but it will be in German. Can you work with that? How comes you have his table of ancestors? Are you related to him?

Tilman, I have German relatives but he is not one of them. I am a collector and recently purchased the document without first knowing who it was for. I was pleasantly surprised it was for someone of some import. I do much reading about the camps etc and if you can share anything about Fischer and Sachenhausen it would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I could find someone to translate it. Best regards, Tom :D

Hi Tom,
I am traveling in France at the moment. Once back home I will look up the source and tell you. I don't think I have a copy, but I can find out something about it for you and tell you.

We'll be in touch. Tilman

Here comes a drawing of Prof. Dr. Fischer. It is from his time of internment by the British in No. 5 CIC (Paderborn Staumühle).
Picture is from the book "Arzt hinter Stacheldraht" by Dr. med. Erich Möllenhoff.
