Looking for information on Dr. Kurt Pfötsch from LSSAH

Hello there,
can somebody provide information on former SS Untersturmführers Kurt Pfötsch? He was a member of the Leibstandarte / LSSAH, and wrote a book about his division's battle in Kursk, Russia. Can somebody perhaps add some biographical data on him here? Maybe the date of birth (or death in case he has already passed), and what decorations he wore, and what battles he was involved? Any information would be deeply appreciated!

He visited the USA in 1962 and later lived in Salzgitter but I have no record of him after 1965.
