Hansgeorg Schulze
Hansgeorg Schulze
Hello ladies and gentlemen,
do you have additional information about Hansgeorg Schulze, he was one of Hitler's ordnance officer and little is known about him. He was born in 1917 and died in 1941, he was in the Leibstandarte and he was the brother of Richard Schulze (it's basically all I have found here on the forum).
So if you have any information about his career and an official photo it would be helpful.
Thank you very much!
Ilie.

Re: Hansgeorg Schulze
He was a favorite of Hitlers in the SS-Begleitkommando. Awarded both classes of the 1939 Iron Cross, Golden HJ Honor Badge and of course Wound Badge in Gold. Richard was asked by Hitler to take his brothers place after the funeral.

Thanks.
On what occasion did he received this badge?coburg22 wrote: and of course Wound Badge in Gold.
Re: Hansgeorg Schulze
Hello Ilie,
Hansgeorg received the 1939 Wound Badge in Gold when he was KIA in I think August 1941. He did however poses the 1939 Wound Badge in Silver prior to his death. He was extremely popular at the Obersalzberg and many of his photos can be found in a book I own, I will have to give you the title later.
Best,
James

Re: Hansgeorg Schulze
Hello,
I have this photo in my book. Richard is on the left and Hansgeorg is on the right. There is a great photo of them both walking down the street together during pre-war days in Angolia's Cloth Insignia of the SS wearing the black SS officer uniforms. It seems they both had parallel careers with both being Junkerschule graduates and Richard going to the Totenkopfverbaende while Hansgeorg the LSSAH, both had the same sport badges and the golden HJ honor badges and ranks stayed fairly close as well until the start of the war.
Best,
James

In the second photo Hansgeorg is on the right directly behind Hitler's photographer Heinrich Hoffmann. Max Wuensche is on the top right of the last row.

Re: Hansgeorg Schulze
Hello Ilie,
He may have fought in the Western Campaign I am not sure. The book is called "Guarding the Führer: Sepp Dietrich, Johann Rattenhuber and the protection of Adolf Hilter" by Blaine Talyor. It's a simple book but tons of photos.

Re: Hansgeorg Schulze
I wondered where he had fought because I think he was already at Hitler's side during the Western campaign.
Well, thank you for all your answers.

Re: Hansgeorg Schulze
Where did his nickname "Frettchen" came from?
Is this a common nickname in Germany?
Thanks,
Ilie
