Hello radevich and pena,

what make you believe that he was member of the SS-Flak-Ausb.-u.Ers.-Rgt. in January 1945?
Maybe a missunderstanding of my last post.
And why should he only serve with his unit up to March 1945? Do you have any documents/information where that is mentioned?

As far as I know (personnel file / interviews with veterans) after he had taken over command of the SS-FlakAbt 12 in November 1944, he servered with this unit up to the war`s end. He lead the SS-FlakAbt 12 to the Enns bridge and into american captivity.

I don't have any documents/information about Loenicker's end of command in March 1945. I simply didn't have any information about him after this and I wasn't even sure about March 1945. Now thanks to you I do have more info about him.

Just to add that it was SS-Hstuf LEOPOLD Seiler who commanded the 1. /SS-Flak-Abt. 9. SS-Hstuf HANS-CHRISTIAN Seiler commanded the 2. /SS-Panzer-Regt.9 and I believe the I. /SS-Panzer-Regt.9 at a later date. Confusing indeed!
