Schöneseifen, Schäfer and Lautenschläger

Dr. Manfred Schöneseifen.
Born 24-12-1911.
Rechtshistoriker.
Was Gestapo chief in Chemnitz.
Can anyone tell me if this person was with the SS or not??

Wilhelm Schäfer.
SS-Sturmbannführer und Kriminaldirektor.
Was Gestapo deputy chief in Chemnitz.
Who knows more about this officer??

Paul Lautenschläger.
Born 26-11-1906.
Was employed within SD-LA 'Dresden'.
Was this man with the SS or not??

Manfred Schöneseifen was promoted SS-Ustuf 1.10.1939 (SS-Verordnungsblatt from January 1940) as SS-Member nr. 162 902. 20.4.42 promoted to SS-Stub.

Paul Lautenschläger is mentioned in Befehlsblatt Sipo/SD from 1944 as Ostuf (since 20.4.44) as SS nr 97893.

Thank you very much, good to know Schöneseifen and Lautenschläger were SS-officers after all.
Now I can check all three officers a bit more.

Thank you, totally my stupid fault. Although my German is not thát bad I sometimes just forget the meaning of the " on an o(ö can be oe)or on an a(ä can be ae).

So thanks for refreshing my mind.

One question about Schöneseifen.
I see that his name is mostly written as Schöneseiffen/Schoeneseiffen, so with double f, but in the book 'Elite im Verborgenen' from Carsten Schreiber it's clearly written with only one f.
So did Carsten made a writing-error or is his name indeed written with only one f ??

I know another namesake - Karl Lautenschläger(*27.04.1896)
20.04.43 Oberstltn.
