I'm still looking for information about Bergmüller after 1949.

Re: Security in the Führerbunker 24.4.1945
Hi Peter,
Very interesting stuff, yet not all correct. Bergmüller was sentenced for "Ungehorsamkeit im Felde nach Beleidigung" and demoted to SS-Mann. And no, he didn't stay with the RSD, he send to the Front ("zu Bewährung an der Front (Totenkopfdivision) eingesetzt"), furthermore the Oberstes Parteigericht kicked him out of the Party in 1941. First after probation at the Front he was allowed to return to the RSD in 1942 and in the same year he was reinstated in the Party. Sources are his OPG, PK and SSO-files in Bundesarchiv Berlin-Lichterfelde.
Regards
Halfdan S.

Hello Halfdan
Thanks! Every correction I appreciate, I've only his basic (digital) SSO file-cards and assumed that he remained with the RSD.
The Bewährung an der Front wasn't mentionned on those cards!
Thanks again

Re: Security in the Führerbunker 24.04.45
Sorry, no, I don't have it - I've had a look at all three files in Berlin, but only made a short note for the purpose I needed it for, not a copy of the file. Funny, but posting above, I had a different episode in mind, thinking that whomever was drunk on Munich Main Trainstation - yet that must have been one of the other RSD fellows. My impression is that they didn't always behave
You could probably get a copy from Selke Kopierservice at the Bundesarchiv.

This is absolutely fantastic original research! As mentioned in post #47, I have been one of the "silent ones"; but no longer.
I realize this appreciation is woefully overdue, and after all these months may not find Lutrebois, nonetheless I felt compelled to add my thoughts. Without question, inspiring! And perhaps, the sole reason I enjoy this AHF to the degree I do.
Well done! Your dogged determination has not gone unnoticed!
Cheers,
hans

According to a 1965 phone book entry, a pensioner named Joh. (Johann?) Bergmüller, lived at Munich, Würmstr. 29.I'm still looking for information about Bergmüller after 1949.
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageviewer/ ... =101193265
In addition, another two 1965 phone book entries have pensioners named Joh. (Johann?) Bergmüller living at Augsburg, Heinestr. 20 and at Am Anger 3.
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageviewer/ ... =103843566

I have not seen any further entries for Augsburg, or Munich, after 1965.
Perhaps contact the [email protected] for further information.

Re: Security in the Führerbunker 24.04.45
Absolutely fascinating. A terrific find which has been immensely enjoyable to read.
Meticulous research has gone into this project and verifying the document as being genuine.
One important suggestion though. The initial 25-page research document was uploaded to a website called Photobucket instead of using the attachment option which was used in all subsequent posts.
There are 25 separate images.
The future of Photobucket is very uncertain. Many of these similar image hosting websites have closed down over the past 10 years.
All over the forum are broken URL links to image hosting sites which don't exist anymore. Photographs gone forever.
It might be a good idea for Lutrebois to reupload these next time he reads this topic as it would be a great shame if all his research was taken offline if and when Photobucket goes the way of the dodo...
Fantastic work though.

Thank you for the nice post. The RSD article I wrote needs some updates as I found out new Info.
I even came into contact with a grandson of one of the concerned Kriminal-Assistente present in the Bunker until the end.
Once the article is reworked, you'll find it here.
I wish you all a very happy 2022
Peter
PS: for the interested; a compilation I made about Peter HÖGL, chief of RSD-Dienststelle 1. The cut out is from a Hoffmann photo from my collection.

Hi Sammy
Could you post a larger more close-up image of the Johann Hofbeck booklet?
Thanks
