#1

Post by Georg_S » 10 Mar 2018, 16:58

Hello

A shacky photo but maybe someoen known who the (some) officers are in this photo. The one with the RK is Rudolf Lehmann. I can atleast see that there are two former member of the SS-T Division (Demjansk shield) and one with a T collartab. All help much appriciated.

TIA

Georg, I don't think that on photo Lehmann. He was SS-Ostubaf. when he got RK, probably this RKT from
"Totenkopf".

Regarding the RK and DKiG Träger I looked towards the Totenkopf, he could be Hans Endress. But that's a guess.

Does Georg have a date for this photo?

It could be also LAH because several soldiers were awarded Krim shield. My version is Gerhard Grebarsche.

I don't think it is Grebarsche because he did not receive the DKiG and also the Nahkampfspange doesn't appear in his file.
The photo is not very clear but it seems that the RKT officer (SS-Hstuf.?) is wearing a Totenkopf collar as several other men.

Patrick

Hello,

well, but in his personal case from John P.Moore i found his DKiG award document and in list of his medals also CCC in Bronze. Maybe you are right about "Totenkopf" but my eyes are not so good as yours and i can't see T. collar tabs. Need to see much closely their collar tabs.

After checking, the Grebarsche file mentions the Nahkampfspange in Br. on the back of the Stammkarte. Nevertheless, his DKiG proposal is rejected (abgelehnt) and his file is classified by John Moore as rejected proposal.
About Totenkopf collar tabs , I'm not sure, but the blurry form looks like.

Hello,
The resolution of the photo could be better but in my mind the RkT don´t wear a CCC. In my mind it´s a "Bandspange". The RkT could be Rudfolf Säumenicht. He don´t get the CCC. I´m not sure but maybe it´s possible.

Request for Identification of SS-officers

Hello Sebastian,

If we compare the officers 2nd and 3rd from the left clearly bearing ribbon bar (Bandspange) with the officer RKT and the 1st from the right we can make the difference and I think that they have CCC

I think it's Siegfried Brosow.

I'm sure it's not Siegfried Brosow. For one thing Brosow was a relatively short man within the SS.

Hello,
I do not think it's Brosow. Even if the picture is fuzzy, I still think that the collar tabs are Totenkopf and not SS.
According to their personal files their respective heights were 1.72 m for Siegfried Brosow and 1.76 m for Hans Endress.
I always guess Hans Endress. Regards

Patrick
