Schneider was the head of Abt. I/II with KdS Radom and the last deputy to KdS Radom (SS-Ostubaf. Illmer).
He succeeded KR Lothar Wandel as the deputy in Radom (Wandel was also the head of Abt. IV with KdS Radom).

Schneider & Sluzk Aktion:
5 Feb 1943, instructions by KdS Weißruthien, Minsk (signed SS-Ostubaf Strauch), about a plan for “8. und 9. Februar 1943 wird in der Stadt Sluzk von dem hiesigen Kommando [SK 1b] eine Umsiedlung der dortigen Juden vorgenommen” together with 110 member of the “lettischen Freiwilligenkomp.”. “Der Leitung der Aktion liegt in den Händen von SS-Ostuf. Müller.”
SS-Hstuf Schneider of Abt I/II will participate in this Aktion. He was stationed at Grave No. 1 with I.Gruppe.

Thanks Steve. Have actually just been looking at a brilliant site on the internet from the State Archives of Hesse, which gave a detailed account of all the Stapo and SD activities in Darmstadt from 1933, listing the Leiter der Stapostellen and SD-Aussenstellen. Apparently the Stapo HQ in Darmstadt was destroyed during an allied bombing raid on September 11, 1944, and they tried to set it up again at nearby Bensheim. However, I believe that they were forced to relocate to the HQ of the SD!

Sorry about that Ludger. I just typed in "Stapo Darmstadt" on Google Chrome and up came Hessisches Staatsarchiv Darmstadt - EHRI. I then followed the instructions. I believe that another member of our site may have found this information and downloaded it. Can't be sure

Anders born Hamburg.
Another thread on the Forum has Anders awarded Bandenkampfabzeichen in Silber by BdS Weißruthenien on 15 Sept 1944.
By which time he was already at BdS Italien, Verona; said to have arrived during August 1944.
On 1 Sept 1944 noted as being promoted SS-Ostuf in Verona where worked in IV N.
Avoided early postwar arrest in Italy and was not apprehended by 21 Army Group (British) until 2 July 1945, in Italy.
March 1946, a British file notes he was being held at Camp NWA/'U' (wherever that was).
Jan 1964, StA Munich charged Anders and 30 others for crimes at Baranovichi but only two of the "others" actually came to trial (JuNSV, Lfd 617) in Munich 1965-1966.

I have only one hearsay source saying he was KK
