Ok. Curiosity has got the best of me. I have searched this forum and Google as well. Who was Horst Gerke? Always looking to expand my knowledge but no luck thus far. I can only find the info in this thread. Thanks for any replies!

The correct name of this SS-Ostubaf. is Ernst Gerke (full name Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm Gerke and the same date of birth: 06.05.1909).

Kreuzer came into British captivity at the end of the war.
The first first photo show him at arrest and looking slim; he was subsequently tried and .
convicted, serving his time at Werl
The second photo shows him shortly before he was given remission and released on 24 Oct 1954; prison food must have agreed with him....
