Re: POW SS-Brif. Jürgen Wagner
When Wagner was transferred to Britain for questioning, his interrogator wrote:
WAGNER likes to think of himself as a working man. Attracted to the socialist aspects of the National Socialist program, he joined the Party in 1932. He feels, however, that HITLER was the only real National Socialist. In his view, GERMANY will never again become a first-class power unless the Reich is backed by another power. POW holds that National Socialism was impractical, and that its expansionist and racial policies were incapable of execution.
And what is the object dangling over his chest - a camera, walkie-talkie?

Hi Sebastian,
The stills were taken by 'Life' magazine photographer William Vandivert. Wagner's surrender was also filmed along with the procession of German forces crossing the River Elbe to escape approaching Soviet forces at Tangermünde, Germany and surrender to the American lines.

Re: POW SS-Brif. Jürgen Wagner
A long time ago I got the question where I found the info that SS-Ogruf Gille handed over his own RK to Wagner. Unfortunately I can´t remember who asked me the question so I publish it here.
WHo ever you where I hope you see this.
Best regards
Georg
