Question: SD Membership

#1

Post by ExaltedFrog » 16 Feb 2020, 14:55

Hello all,

I read somewhere that there were quite a few SD agents who weren't members of the SS, is this correct that you didn't have to be part of the SS to join the SD?

I'm asking this as I thought the SD was a daughter organisation of the SS.

SD employees and SS membership went hand-in-hand; if you were an "agent" or "informant" SS membership was not a requirement.

Thanks for the response.
Was it possible to be a high rank in the SD without SS membership, or did they only allow 'true believers,' as it were, to lead the SD?

I am not aware of any SD officers who were not SS members.
