Post by wolfguy » 24 Feb 2020 15:56

To Everyone Interested

My book "The Trawniki Guards: Footsoldiers of the Holocaust" is now available for pre-order from Schiffer Publishing and Amazon.
Release date is September 2020.

I'm also almost finished with a Volume 2 covering postwar investigations and trials in the Soviet Union, Germany, Poland, and the U.S.

Best Regards
Josh

Hey Josh,

Sounds like a great book! I saw the promo on Amazon but it didn’t mention the number of photos or guards covered?

Hi Erich

Thanks for your interest.
90 photos altogether, most of which are small headshots from guard personnel files, and a few larger photos.
Hundreds of guards will be covered in different parts of the study.

Hey Josh,

Thanks for the info! I always thought they had an interesting history when being used for Operation Reinhard at Belzec, Sobibor and Treblinka! Not much is out there so I’m sure it will make a nice addition for any library. I’m surprised Schiffer published it because it seemed like they left the reference field and decided to focus on stupid crap like arts & crafts or pin up calendars!

Hi Erich

It took several years for this book to come together.
I visited archives in Washington DC and Poland, and dealt a number of times with the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC and the U.S. Department of Justice.

Some of items in the book will be new to readers because I really had to dig for some of the information.
In any case, there has never before been a book length treatment of this subject in English other than the Demjanjuk Trial.
But this book is not about Demjanjuk it is about All of the Trawniki guards.
