Question about the four KK from Stapo Kattowitz

#1

Post by George_W » 19 Jul 2020, 15:39

Hello

I'm looking for any informations about the fate of these four Gestapo officers from Stapo Kattowitz. Maybe someone knows did they survived the war?

SS-Ostuf. KK Karl Dietrich (born 14.06.1898)
SS-Ostuf. KK Oskar Koch (born 20.08.1901)
SS-Ostuf. KK Gustav König (born 25.07.1903)
SS-Ostuf. KK Konrad Paikert (born 14.11.1912)

Dietrich, Koch and König served in Stapo Kattowitz in 1944 and Paikert probably earlier.

Regards
George

Thank You very much for these informations.

Oskar Koch was listed three times in BBL:

1941, transfer of KK Koch from Stapo Breslau to Stapo Kattowitz [BBL 44/1941]
1944, promotion to SS-Hstuf., SS No 367 576, employed by IdS Breslau (possibly still served with Stapo Kattowitz) [BBL 13/1944]
1944, nomination of SS-Ostuf. (!) KK Oskar Koch from Stapo Kattowitz with RFSS-Annerkennungen [BBL 34/1944]

I can’t find that Oskar Koch on the list of SS officers from NARA.
Unfortunately i don’t have any informations regarding his death in Kattowitz.

Dietrich and König were promoted KK in 1944 – both were listed with Stapo Kattowitz at that time.

In addition to Karl Dietrich:

Between June 1939 and May 1942 he served at Gestapo Vsetin (i think that it might have been an Aussendienststelle subordinated to Stapo Brünn).

It seems that he was transferred to Stapo Kattowitz in 1942 or later and returned (was posted back) from Kattowitz to Stapo Brünn in late 1944 or early 1945.

1944, he was promoted to KK and listed with Stapo Kattowitz [BBL 40/1944].

I believe that KK Karl Dietrich from Stapo Kattowitz was different man than Hauptmann der Schutzpolizei Karl Dietrich listed above.

I agree with George W.
The Karl Dietrich of StapoLS Kattowitz was born 14 June 1898, Pollan. I do not think he had a Schupo career.
