Georg Schönberger trial in late 1942?

#1

Hi,

I have been going through the SSO File for Georg Schönberger (Panzer Regiment commander LSSAH) recently and there is mention of some sort of legal action being taken against him and SS-Hauptsturmführer Dr. Helmut Vieweg for bringing the Waffen-SS into disrepute. This was around November 1942.

The trial did not happen in the end. Does any know what the basis for this was?

Thanks for any help.

Cheers
Steve
