Heinz Heuer is cancelled as RK-holder by Veit Scherzer in his outstanding book.

Nevertheless Fellgiebel accepted Heuer as a member of his "Ordensgemeinschaft der Ritterkreuzträger" ("OdR").
But there was not the slightest reference in the Bundesarchiv for a proposal or for an awarding.
And at that time General Burgdorf as Chef HPA was still in office and active in Berlin.

To be sure Fellgiebel stated: "eindeutig dubios, um es gelinde auszudrücken"
(to say the least the case is very dubious).

So we have to ask: Does this mysterious unit ever exist or is this a phantom constructed by Heuer himself?

Sorry, forget Heuer!

Dieter Z.

BTW: Heuer was not Waffen-SS, but Feldgendarmerie (as Feldwebel) in the SS-Polizeidivision (also very obscure)
