Stefano inform us, that from April 1945 till end of the war was Kampfkommandant Laibach/Ljubljana Oberst Werner von Seeler:

Korps-Gruppe von Seeler was formed in Slovenia, not in Carinthia.
Oberst Werner von Seeler was Kampfkommandant Laibach in April 1945; when Roesener (HSSPF Alpenland and Komm.Gen.d.rückw. Heeresgeb. E; his troops were indicated as Korps-Gruppe Roesener) disappeared on 8.5.45, von Seeler, on his own initiative, took over from Roesener and changed the name of the Korps-Gruppe in Korps-Gruppe von Seeler.
I have no information on their combat engagements but they retreated into Austria through the Loibl pass (between Kranj and Klagenfurt) and on 9 May the colunm arrived at the Drau bridge north of Ferlach, where it was stopped by the Jugoslavs. After some unsuccessful negotiations von Seeler’s troops opened fire against the Jugoslavs on the morning of 11 May (!), destroying 2 tanks; then they crossed the brige and surrendered to the British, being gathered in the Viktring prisoner camps.

Hello Thierry,

Date for Major (1.4.1942) is not rigt. Unfotunatly I have not the right date for Major.

Massimiliano Afeo wrote in his Book: La Polizei-Division sul fronte di Leningrado 1941 that Max Schimmelpfennig was Major in Pol.Schzt.-Rgt 2, III.Btl./2.

exactly, the Document with date 25.10.1942 is right, but I suppose, that the Date inside, with which begin new range for Schimmelpfennig is 1.4.1942.

For professional reasons, I am interested in the person of Max Schimmelpfennig. There are many indications that in September 1939, as the major of the police in Gdańsk (Danzig), he took part in the death sentence of 38 defenders of the Polish Post Office in the Free City of Gdańsk. To confirm this, I would have to reach the documents that the gentlemen used and some of them were shared in the post about Max Schimmelpfenning. Would you be so kind and help me in my search by pointing to books, articles or archival materials and archives in which they are found. Hey Peter,
I'm sorry for writing in another discussion, but I really really need to found one SS Totenkopf ring recipient. I've read your post from 22 June 2006 where you mentioned "annual DAL's" to be source for such thing. My question is what is this annual DAL's and where can I find it. If you got any more info about Totenkopf ring recipient list I'll be very glad.
I just created this account to write you so I can't direct message and I am not sure if you can read my reply on the previous old discussion. I apologize for distraction and thank you(or anybody else) for answer.
