SS-Hauptscharführer Gerhard Palitzsch
Hi everybody,
I saw recently in a book about Auschwitz that SS-Hauptscharführer Gerhard Palitzsch was one of the worst guard. I would like to learn more about him. It is not said what happened to him after 1943. Can anyone help ?
Thank you
(and sorry for my english)

Hello
I investigated his fate for my next book using his BDC file (Gerhard Arno Max Palitzsch) and data from various German Archives and confirm the following:
He was degraded to SS-Schutze and placed with 9/SS-PzGrenRgt 8 of 4th SS Div "Polizei".
He was KIA 4-7.12.1944 and buried at the cross roads at Jobbabyi-Ape/Hungary.
More recently his body was moved to Budaois War Cemetery (Block 11, Row 5, Grave 282) on the highway from Vienna to Budapest.
cheers
Peter

Re: SS-Hauptscharführer Gerhard Palitzsch
Sorry to ressurect such an old thread, but I have a few questions of my own about Palitzsch -- mostly related to his personal life.
Does anyone have copies of the files held at the BDC that they'd be willing to share? If not, does anyone know what his wife's name was, or how many children, if any, they had?
Thanks!

If I remember well I think he had two children, and his wife was named Luise (or Louise), she died of typhus.

Hello,
I am doing a bit of research on Auschwitz and some of the personnel. I can't find or get a hold of Gerhard Palitzschs' files (BDC, etc) Can any one direct me to where I may find them or happen to have them? Or have all of the information?
Thanks!

I don't read the memories of Rudolf Hoess( I commandant of AUSCHWITZ), and I have a question. ¿He was lover of Irma Grese? because a few confiable page said that about Gerhard Palitzsch and Grese. and in this book talks about Palitzsch and his relationships

Not sure how to post yet, but can anyone give me details about the two children of Gerhard Palitzsch, ie, sex, names, dates of birth? Thanks.

Re: SS-Hauptscharführer Gerhard Palitzsch
His SS-PA does name his wife Luisa Gehre (born 5 Jul 1916, died 4 Nov 1942) and his son, born 1942 at Auschwitz, I hope that the orphan boy survived the war and hopefully was adopted to have a new name, I am sure that he would not wish to be associated with the crimes of his father.
