Could you help me with this man?

Was he name written Pister or Pistor?
Was his SS-number SS-37 484 or SS-37 494?

He was born on 14.08.1906.
I have info that he was serving as IVa in SS-Aufkl.Abt. 4 (4/42) and also in Wirtschafts-Verwaltungsdienst.

Did he have a SS-Hstuf. (d.R.) rank?

Thanks in advance,
Kocjo

Hi

Emil Talbot von PISTOR was austro-hungarian (he was the nephew of an hungarian countess). At the beginning of 1945 he was posted to the hungarian 25. SS-Grenadier-Division as Intendant and, when the staff of the XVII. SS- Armee-Korps was started to be created, he join it as Korps-Intendant (march/april 1945).

The SS-Division "Skanderbeg" was classified as a mountain division, hence the Edelweis:

Ah, "Skanderbeg" indeed. Now I see I missed this unit in his bio. Thanks!

Cheers,
