Italian brigade/division:
First Kdr was italian Brigadefuehrer Manelli . Later he remained as
generalinspektor of the unit ,in charge of training (Kommandostab at Brianza)
By december 1944 the Kdr was Brigadefuehrer Peter Hansen (a Volksdeutsche from Chili and "father" of the Waffen-SS artillery .)
Tschimpke was in charge of the propaganda services of this SS unit .

"Le SS italiane" is far from exhautive ...better book is the one of Marco Nava about le legione SS italiane .
Anyway ....
Not the division ,but yes the brigade was runned for some days by Manelli ,after that he was inspector of the unit (like in the Charlemagne where Puaud was commander and Krukenberg inspector ) tasked with training/recruiting.
