Eichmann at the concentration camps?

#1

Did Adolf Eichmann regularly visit concentration camps and speak to prisoners? There is a part in the book War and Remembrance where Eichmann visits Thereisenstadt and kind of toys with some of the Jews there, and I wondered if he really did that.

Eichmann did indeed visit a lot of camps, bur if he "toyed" with the inmates I haven´t find any proof of it.
You can as ex. see Rudolf Höss book: Kommandant in Auschwitz, in this book he is refering many times to have meet Eichmann both in his office in Berlin and in Auschwitz

In Heinz Höhne book-The Order of the Death's Head,is a mention that Eichmann came to inspect how the gas vans operated in Kulmhof (Chelmno) late 41 or early 42.
He was horrifield by that sight and left quickly almost in panic.
