Hallo,

Can someone provide me info on Otto Augustin?
I noticed that he wearing a Totenkopf and I wonder if he did
KZ duty, because of Hans Loritz.

Best regards,

Georg

It is Böhme on the left. The general next to Müller is Toussaint and in the third row, smiling, is Eberhard Schöngarth. The occasion is the security conference held in Prague on 18 May 1942.

I found that Gutt was promoted to Gruppenführer in 1940, is this true?

Hi Georges,

Riecke was never SS-Sturmbannführer. He was member of the SA (last rank SA-Gruppenführer). 10.10.1944 he joined the SS as SS-Gruppenführer.

According to Hermann Weiss (Biographisches Lexikon zum Dritten Reich, Frankfurt,Main, 2002, p. 171) Gutt was promoted Gruf in 1940.

Hi Georg..Otto Augustini at the time of this photo was commander of SS-Totenkopfsturmbanne "Oberbayern". He would be succeeded by the far more famous Max Simon, who bore a striking, if more manly, resemblance to American playwrite Neil Simon and no resemblance to singer Paul Simon!
